Anytime I look up a recipe, I figure out how I can make it healthier. Take this Brownie Mug Cake. First, I swapped out All Purpose Flour for Grain4grain 1:1 Replacement Flour which is made from protein/ fiber-rich spent flour. Second, I replaced the refined sugar with natural, lower glycemic Coconut Sugar. Third, I swapped in cholesterol-free Coconut Oil for butter. Plus, I use high-quality ingredients like Raaka Maple Dark Chocolate Chips.
3tbsp Grain4Grain 1:1 Replacement Flour
2 tbsp Organic Cocoa Powder
2tbsp Coconut Sugar or Cane Sugar
⅛ tsp Sea Salt
¼ tsp Baking Powder
1 tbsp Melted Coconut Oil
3 tbsp Milk of your choice
½ tsp Vanilla Extract
2 tbsp Good Quality Chocolate Chips
Add the Grain4Grain flour, Organic Cocoa Powder, Sugar, Sea Salt and Baking Powder in to a wide mug. Stir to combine.
Pour in the oil, milk and vanilla into the mug with the dry ingredients and stir with a small fork or spoon.
Stir 1 tablespoon of chocolate chips in the batter, and then top the other tablespoon on top.
Microwave the mug cake for 50 seconds. Enjoy your quick and healthy dessert!
